Something that just started as an idea has become a full fledge Rum Centric place for like minded people to enjoy! Our club offers a variety of exciting monthly activities, online content, field trips, and contests for our members to enjoy. Join us for monthly meet and greets with different themes and fun ways to participate, on-site tasting events, and cocktail classes. Plus, every 18 months, we offer a destination package with a Member Only discount that is secured just for our Rutherford Rum Runners Club Members.

Brief History of Rum
Rum's history is complex and tumultuous, with scholars and enthusiasts debating its origins. The first recorded rum originated in the West Indies and first mentioned in records from Barbados in about 1650 by enslaved people who fermented molasses into alcohol. The first rum distillery in the colonies was established in 1664 on Staten Island.

World Rum Day
World Rum Day takes place on the 2nd Saturday of July each year. World Rum Day is the annual, global celebration of rum and distilleries - join rum bars, brands, distillers and rum lovers across the world in coming together to enjoy rum with celebrations, promotions, online events and more!
World Rum Day was launched in 2019 by Paul Jackson, spirits writer and Editor of World Rum Guide. It is celebrated on the 2nd Saturday of July each year, becoming the focal point of the wonderful series of occasions at the start of July, including National Mojito Day, National Piña Colada Day and National Daiquiri Day.
